Frequently asked questions

Intensive Outpatient (IOP) involves 9-15 hours of clinical contact per week - group therapy, individual sessions, and skills workshops. Outpatient therapy is 1-2 sessions per week focused on individual work. IOP is designed for people who need more structure than weekly therapy provides but don't require residential care.

Start with our free assessment. It takes about 5 minutes and helps our clinical team recommend the right program based on your symptoms, history, and goals. You can also call us directly and speak with an intake coordinator.

We're in-network with Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, HealthNet, TriCare, UnitedHealthcare, and others. Most members pay $0 out of pocket. Use our benefits checker to verify your coverage in under a minute.

Most members move from intake to their first session within 48 hours. There are no waitlists. Once your benefits are verified and your intake is complete, we match you with a clinician and get you scheduled.

Yes. All sessions - group therapy, individual therapy, and workshops - are conducted via secure, HIPAA-compliant video. You attend from home on your schedule, with evening and flexible options available.

A typical IOP week includes 3-4 group therapy sessions, 1 individual session with your clinician, and skills-based workshops - totaling 9-15 hours of clinical contact. Sessions are held in the evenings so you can continue working and managing daily life.

Our clinicians are licensed to treat the full scope of mental health - including anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, bipolar disorder, OCD, substance use, grief, relationship distress, emotional dysregulation, and more. If you're unsure, our assessment will help clarify.

JCAHO (Joint Commission) accreditation is the gold standard in healthcare quality. It means Recentered Life meets the same rigorous clinical and safety benchmarks as top hospitals and treatment centers. Not every outpatient program has it.

Absolutely. Many members step down from IOP to outpatient therapy as they progress, or move to Guided Recovery for continued support. Your clinician works with you to adjust your level of care as your needs evolve.

Weekly therapy isn't always enough - especially when symptoms are persistent or compounding. Our structured programs deliver significantly more clinical contact than traditional therapy, using multiple evidence-based modalities. The intensity is often what creates the shift.
